If you never really got to progress with your education in the way that you always wanted to, now is the time to correct that. When you first start out in your career, you often create a plan in your mind about how this is going to go or how you want to progress. And that doesn’t have to change now that you work for someone else. In fact, things can largely stay the same. You just need to adapt your plan. Sit down and think about what you want to achieve from your career and what kind of goals that you have. Then work out the actionable steps you need to take to be able to get to where you need to be. With this plan in place, it won’t matter whether you’re self-employed or work for a company, because the end goal will be the same and you can progress in your own time.
