I still remember my first fashion job interview. Despite some work experiences I never had an interview. I always worked at my parents’ companies and had some experience as a social media manager – jobs I got through Instagram and that helped me build my CV.
That is why when they called for my first fashion job interview, I was anxious. On top of not knowing what they would ask me, I also didn’t know if my answers would be right.
At the end, my fashion job interview went well and I got the job.
Today, I decided to share with you a fashion job interview simulation to give you an idea of the questions they ask and the answers for each of them, like that you will be armed to succeed (aka get the job).
During a fashion job interview, you’ll meet your future manager, someone from HR and someone from the team you will be working in. You could even meet all of them at the same time for the interview.
People will most likely have read your CV and brought it with them, and this is how a fashion job interview usually begins

I think even in the most difficult situations, there is always a solution, so I avoid getting overwhelmed and face everything logically. We all have weaknesses, the most important thing is to transform them into strength when the occasion is there.

7. What do you do during your free time?
During my free time, I draw and create posters, mugs and other objects with motivational quotes that I sell on my e-shop. So, I do have a sense of business 😊. [This question isn’t here for you to tell you like reading and travelling. Say something that is relevant to the job and will make your personality shine]
8. Why should we hire you?
I don’t think I’m better than anyone else but, I am confident about [state some qualities]. I found I was capable of all through work which means that to achieve my objectives and solve issues, I always push myself. Then, if I’m able to push myself working for the company I love, what’s more to ask?
Ok so at this point the fashion job interview should be finished and they’ll thank you, telling they’ll let you know in a couple of days/weeks. If your first interview was great they may call you for a second and someone even for a third, it depends on the company.
I had two fashion job interviews for my first internship, during the first one they asked me the questions above and during the second one I did an excel test.
Hope this post will help you to be more confident during your first fashion job interview. Now you know what they ask and have also an idea of answers that work
