It’s a wrap! The fashion month has officially come to an end. With Coperni’s show Tuesday night at the most magical place on earth, Disneyland Paris, we couldn’t have wished for a more spectacular fashion month finale! Throughout September, we were carefully watching the shows live, just like you. From runway debuts to old friends and favorites, we picked the most memorable moments. Also, we’re sharing our favorite Spring Summer 2025 looks seen in New York, London, Milan, and Paris.

Whether you are a fashion enthusiast or an aspiring professional, I always recommend doing Fashion Month recaps to expand your industry knowledge. It can also happen that recruiters ask your thoughts on the latest collections, so staying aware on what’s going on the runway is always useful. Here we go!

Fashion Month Recap: Best Spring Summer 2025 Shows

NYFW Spring Summer 2025 Highlights

Let’s start with New York City as it’s where fashion month always begins. AREA had the honor to open New York Fashion Week this season. However, that’s not the only thing that made the show special. The brand also celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Another highlight was Alaïa which made its runway debut in New York. Creative director Pieter Mulier showcased a collection titled ‘American Ideology of Dress’ at the Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art. It explores the idea of American beauty. “For me, American beauty means freedom, of body and of spirit,” he explained in the show notes, according to Harper’s Bazaar. “A simplicity, a modernity and directness, a purity.” We love sporty Alaïa, one of our favorites this season.

Paris-based Off White also made its NYFW debut at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. For his “Duty Free” Spring 2025 collection, creative director Ib Kamara was inspired by a trip to Ghana where the late founder Virgil Abloh’s family is from. “This collection oozes the inclusive spirit of New York as the place where dreamers gather,” he said in the show notes, according to Paper Magazine.

Tommy Hilfiger staged his spring-summer 2025 runway at an unexpected location (yes, designers always surprise us with their amazing choices) on the MV John F. Kennedy, which was previously the Staten Island Ferry. The collection, nautical with a twist, expressed the American designer’s love for the nautical world with red, white, and blue marine designs – in the classic Tommy Hilfiger style.

Among our favorite collections, we loved Ralph Lauren, Khaite, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Brandon Maxwell, and Tibi.

LFW Spring Summer 2025 Highlights

London continued celebrating its 40th anniversary with fashion shows and special events. Harris Reed enjoyed a grand moment, opening London Fashion Week and celebrating his first season on the official LFW schedule. His theatrical approach doesn’t stop to impress us.

S.S. Daley staged his first womenswear runway. The collection, dubbed “No suffix, prefix or quotes” was inspired by the life, lovers, work and uniform of the British artist Gluck.

Nensi Dojaka and Calvin Klein presented their first joint collection.

Burberry’s Daniel Lee showcased, as some critics dubbed it, one of his best collections yet at the National Theatre. It was a colorful collection, “searching to bring more optimism, a sense of joy, lightness and summertime to Burberry, which isn’t typically a summertime brand,” Lee told WWD. The brand needed this fresh re-start, considering it has been struggling against a heavy backdrop for luxury goods and dealing with declining sales and challenges around pricing and market positioning.

Finally, among our top 5 is Simone Rocha, who returned to one of her favorite locations – The Old Bailey, London’s main criminal court. With a signature touch of romanticism, Rocha’s latest collection was influenced by theatre and ballet and performances of dancers Michael Clark and Pina Bausch.

MFW Spring Summer 2025 Highlights

This fashion week season in Milan was special for Glam Observer because we hosted our first-ever fashion exhibition in the city: Inside the Fashion Offices on September 21-22. The visitors were able to discover behind-the-scenes of fashion careers and visualize themselves as fashion designers, editors, stylists, buyers, PR, and marketing professionals. Take a look at the behind-the-scenes here.

We also attended Vogue Italia’s 60th anniversary exhibition, revisiting iconic magazine covers through the years.

Back to the shows, our Milan Fashion Week favorites this season were Fendi, Missoni, Prada, Moschino, Ferragamo, Max Mara, Dolce&Gabbana, and Del Core.

PFW Spring Summer 2025 Highlights

Valentino

Alessandro Michele’s runway debut for Valentino was the most eagerly anticipated event of PFW. Technically, it was his sophomore collection for the house, as the new creative director unveiled a surprise Resort collection online in June. But his latest show was the first staged during the official fashion week schedule. Titled “Pavillon des Folies,” (pavillon of madness) it was an eccentric and maximalist so characteristic of Michele. After revisiting Valentino’s archives, he built a collection by mixing styles of different eras – from fringed ’60s bags to ’30s gowns to 2020s facial jewelry.

Ganni and Dries Van Noten

Another highlight of Paris Fashion Week was Ganni, which staged its first show in the city, the usual location being Copenhagen. Spring/Summer 2025 The Craft — a collection shaped by the idea of modern alchemy

Dries Van Noten’s studio team presented their first women’s collection since the designer exited his eponymous brand in March.

Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent is always one of our favorites at Paris Fashion Week. This season, Anthony Vaccarello dedicated a full collection to Yves Saint Laurent’s style, revisiting the most iconic pieces from the founder’s wardrobe – think the iconic tuxedo, ties, wide pants, and big eyeglasses. So it was a 100% Saint Laurent for Yves Saint Laurent show. The creative director named each of the 49 looks after the models – friends of the house like Dovima, Bettina, and Iman, and also Betty (Catroux) and Carla (Bruni) who were at the front row that night. We loved Bella Hadid’s look, who returned to the runway after a two-year hiatus.

The location was also interesting. Instead of taking the Eiffel Tower, Anthony Vaccarello preferred to show at the house’s Left Bank headquarters at Rue de Bellechasse, which is symbolic because that’s where he staged his debut show in 2016.

Our other favorite brands which showed at Paris Fashion Week are Balmain, Chloé, Miu Miu, Schiaparelli, Stella McCartney, Loewe, and Victoria Beckham.

Louis Vuitton and Coperni

Louis Vuitton was also memorable, having created a runway from 1000 trunks!

Moving to the grand finale, Coperni had the honor to close Paris Fashion Week. The brand offered the audience a true fairytale experience, staging a show at the most magical place on earth – Disneyland Paris. It was the first time the amusement park had hosted a show, so it was a special night.
