Last Thursday we launched this new article format where we did a recap of the fashion news of the week, and you liked it and asked us to do every week. So here we are with the second appointment of The Fashion News Of The Week You Need To Know. Because whether you want to work at a fashion company, or launching your own brand, is important to stay updated on the industry.

  1. Gucci is the hottest Fashion Brand

Lyst released its final quarterly ranking of brands and products for 2018 on Wednesday. The global fashion platform calculated up to five million shoppers’ habits online, from searching and browsing to social media engagement and actual purchases across 12,000 designers and stores.

From October to December, more than 6 million shoppers searched for a Gucci bag (in particular the Soho Bag is the hottest Women’s Product), belt or shoe, making Gucci accessories the most powerful products in fashion over a sustained period now approaching two full years. Moncler has jumped 12 places into 4th position thanks to the Genius collection: a collaboration project with eight different designers.

2. Los Angeles hosted the first Vegan Fashion Week last weekend.

There were 54 vegan companies represented at the weekend-long event, which was organized by Emmanuelle Rienda, 36, a veteran of the fashion industry. here 54 companies came to show their animal-product-free collections.

3.Tyra Banks is opening a model-inspired theme park
Tyra Banks has made it her life mission to bring modeling to the masses. Her latest venture, called “Modelland,” will do just that by creating a 21,000-square-foot, ticketed fantasy version of the modeling world inside Santa Monica Place shopping mall.Men, women, families, all generations can come and enter this model world for a day, have a fun shopping experience, and an eventful meal. This will be the first of many.

4.Gigi Hadid launched an athleisure line with Reebok 
Gigi Hadid designed an athleisure collection for Reebok inspired by her love of volleyball. The range is filled with bold stripes and color-blocked patterns, and is available to shop starting Tuesday.

5. Hermès to Build New Leather Production Site in France.  The luxury firm plans to build a workshop in Normandy that will employ 250 workers.

6. Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello has chosen Los Angeles to stage its next dedicated men’s show in June. Holding the show in Los Angeles would allow the French house to get the first word ahead of the men’s season in London, Florence, Milan and Paris.

7. United Talent Agency, which represents Hollywood A-listers Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pratt and Wes Anderson, has acquired Digital Brand Architects, which represents more than 140 influencers spanning the fashion, beauty and lifestyle space, Aimee Song (Song of Style), Emily Schuman (Cupcakes and Cashmere), Julia Engel (Gal Meets Glam) and Gabi Gregg (Gabi Fresh) among them.

8. Estée Lauder Hits $4 Billion in Sales for Latest Quarter. Skin care was up 16 percent, driven by Estée Lauder and La Mer.
