The beauty company Glossier is looking for an Associate Showroom Manager, who will be responsible for helping bring the brand to customers through positive, personable and effective training and communication as well as efficient operation of the store.

Responsibilities

– Team management

  • Staffing: schedule shifts, create daily zone charts, process vacations/ time-off requests
  • Manage team flow on the floor and re-assign editors based on staffing needs
  • Monitor individual performance of each editor, enforce reporting system and deliver feedback accordingly
  • Work strategically with the leadership team to grow the team’s performance
  • Build and maintain team culture

– Onboarding and Training

  • Assist in hiring and recruiting process
  • Train team on flow, testing, POH and BOH duties

– Maintenance

  • Keep the showroom well stocked and clean at all times
  • Report any maintenance required in the showroom to the retail team
  • Maintain constant stock of editor supplies (food, bathroom products. etc)
  • Manage showroom uniforms

– Showroom Feedback

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative feedback and insights on a daily and weekly basis
  • Collect key KPIs to help us analyze the showroom performance (traffic, conversion, etc)

– BOH

  • Keep the inventory room spotless and organized
  • Maintain inventory and supply for both back of house and front of house
  • Coordinate fulfillment from the warehouse with our logistics team
  • Dispatch 2nd floor and showroom inventory based on sales forecast, before opening

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast paced retail environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading retail teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a developed understanding of how to lead and motivate a team
  • Scrappy and entrepreneurial, you are a problem solver by nature and are not afraid of change
  • Ability to think about the big picture, especially when it comes to customer experience and broader retail strategy
  • Desire and willingness to roll up your sleeves and jump in when the situation requires it
  • Passion for building an exceptional customer experience, and understand that the devil is in the details
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

  • Personal connection with the Glossier brand
  • A desire to begin or continue a career in retail store management
