We all love Zara, I’m a huge fan and if you could see my wardrobe you’ll for sure note one label. The 90% of my clothes and lots of my shoes are from Zara.
We (I) love Zara because they have lots and lots of collections released through the year, so you’ll always find something new and, among that something new, is sure that you’ll find at least one thing ( I hope that it’s just one everytime I enter) that you(‘d like to) buy. Prices are good and the clothes and shoes are always so on point.
For sure you have also noticed that when you enter into a Zara’s store you see the collections of all the designers mixed together. There is a bit of Balenciaga, Gucci, McQueen, Saint Lauren, Chanel… So basically this is the n°2 reason why we all love Zara. If you cannot get your favorite Dior shoes you can be sure that Zara will do a very similar version of them that are going to be available even before the Dior one.
The designers at Zara are always “inspired” by the big names of the luxury industry and some items are most likely the original ones. They have low prices and the quality it’s definitely not so bad. But quality is not what makes people prefer Gucci or every luxury brand at Zara.
The famous shoes with the fur that Alessandro Michele presented for the first time in 2015 have been revisited from several low-cost fast fashion brands, but so why do people still dream about the Gucci one?
Dream is the keyword. The luxury brands now have to focus on creating the dream, which is almost more important than doing a product with a super quality. Emotions are the key in the luxury industry, they drive sales and make the brands still desirable from every fashion girl. All these emotions can be communicated by sharing how a brand designs a product, how it presents their products, through the stores. With the digital we are all exposed to the fashion and following a brand is even easier, so luxury brands must create content to create this dream and stand out among all the other fashion brands.
I love Zara, but do you have the same amazing feeling of when you enter into a Gucci store? I don’t think so. That’s the magic ingredient of the luxury brand, the way they make you feel about the products, and that’s the reason why even if you buy that Zara bag that it’s similar to a designer one, you’ll still dream about THE BAG.
