On October 3rd our members connected from all over the world for a one-hour live webinar mentorship session to learn all the steps on how to get a job at a fashion magazine and ask all their questions on job interviews, networking, how to stand out in the application….

To answer all these questions I was joined by the brilliant Kristina Rodulfo who inspired and motivated everyone with her kind approach and valuable advice.

Kristina Rodulfo has worked in the industry for almost a decade now so I selected her personally for the first live webinar mentorship session, a new resource added to the membership program. This live webinar on how to get a job at a fashion magazine was, in fact, FREE and exclusive for GO members.

Kristina is the beauty director at Women’s Health magazine and previously worked at Elle Magazine first as Associate Editor for 2 years and then as Senior Beauty Editor for other almost 2 years. She started her career at magazines in fashion and then she realized her true passion was the beauty industry which in fact she covers greatly today.

I’ve recorded the mentorship session that you can listen to in today’s new episode of The Glam Observer Podcast.

The mentorship session took place in two parts: I started the webinar by asking Kristina a couple of questions on how she started her career in magazines and her tips on how to not give up during the application phase. In the second part of the webinar, Kristina answered the questions that the members submitted via the live chat on what she looks for when hiring interns or assistants, what she asks during the job interview, how to network and many other great tips on how to start a career at a fashion magazine.

Listen to the episode on Apple Podcast or SoundCloud and subscribe if you like it 🙂

Our members felt super inspired and motivated at the end of the webinar.

If you want to attend our future live webinar mentorship sessions with industry professionals, join our amazing community today to start and take your career in fashion to the next level! Other perks of the membership program include: access to the archive full of many career articles specific for the fashion industry, the WhatsApp and Facebook group to network with the other members, you’ll also have access to fashion jobs and internships opportunities, get CV review, CV templates, ebooks and many other great career resources.
