Hi girls! If you follow @glamobserver Instagram profile you may have noticed I took over London to attend the Fashion Awards for the first time. Every year I looked at the fashion awards as the most glamorous and important fashion event of the year. I was curious to know each year what brand, designer, model and business leader is awarded. While fashion weeks are well known for more style looks and new collections, this event is for me significant because you’re able to see who is winning the fashion industry not only regarding collections but in terms of strategy and everything.  Last year when I was following the event on social media, and when scrolling through the red carpet looks, I said myself: “Next year I’m going to attend the Fashion Awards.” And I did! I’ve always loved the venue, the atmosphere, and the awards and two days ago I was there in London at the Royal Albert Hall to watch this amazing show. I felt so happy and honored to be in the same room of people shaping the fashion industry such as Alessandro Michele, Marco Bizzarri, Miuccia Prada, Victoria Beckham, MEGHAN MARKLE! because yes, that was my favorite part of the show, she was so kind and empowering when awarding Clare Waight Keller as British Designer of the year – Maria Hatzistefanis, Kate Moss, Vivienne Westwood, Rita Ora, Kaia Gerber, Pierpaolo Piccioli and more big names of the fashion industry. I’ve always loved the fashion industry, and I started Glam Observer to help all the girls out there who want to get into this beautiful but competitive industry, and I’m more than happy that I brought Glam Observer to such a prestigious fashion event.

Everything was exceptional, everyone was perfectly dressed for the evening, and the Royal Albert Hall was set up perfectly with an incredible light show. Although the connection did not work perfectly because of all the people who wanted to share as much as possible, I shared in real time the key scenes and all the awards. So here it’s a recap of the 2018 Awards:

  • Brand of the year: Gucci
  • Designer of the year: Pierpaolo Piccioli (Valentino)
  • British Womenswear Designer of the year: Clare Waight Keller (Givenchy)
  • British Menswear Designer of the year:
  • Business leader: Marco Bizzarri (Gucci)
  • British Emerging Talent Womenswear Richard Quinn for Richard Quinn
  • Outstanding Achievement Award Miuccia Prada
  • 2018 Trailblazer Kim Jones (DIOR Homme)
  • Isabella Blow Award Mert & Marcus
  • Accessories Designer of the Year Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga
