Domenica scorsa mi stavo occupando della parte tecnica del blog. Avevo gi\u00e0 scritto 3 nuovi post, aggiornato alcune pagine quando ad un certo punto il blog \u00e8 crashato<\/strong>. La mia homepage non funzionava pi\u00f9 e non era pi\u00f9 come la vedete ora, c\u2019era solo un pulsante che portava all\u2019archivio, lo slideshow e tutti i post erano scomparsi, inoltre ogni post era solo una pagina vuota<\/strong>. Sono rimasta li a fissare il blog senza capire il perch\u00e9 questo fosse accaduto e preoccupata di aver perso tutto. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sono stata sveglia fino alle 2 di notte per risolvere questo problema.<\/span><\/p>\n

Che cosa \u00e8 successo al blog e perch\u00e9 non funzionava pi\u00f9?<\/span><\/h2>\n

L\u2019ultima cosa che stavo facendo prima del disastro era aggiornare alcuni plugin<\/strong>. Non capendo quale fosse il problema ho subito contattato l\u2019assistenza del mio servizio di hosting per capire quale fosse la causa. Lato server sembrava tutto ok, abbiamo cos\u00ec cercato di ripristinare un backup della mattina per vedere se la situazione migliorava ma ancora l\u2019homepage era vuota e cos\u00ec anche tutti i post.<\/span><\/p>\n

La sera dopo ho continuato a chattare con il servizio hosting per risolvere e ,finalmente, capimmo cosa aveva causato il problema : un plugin. <\/span><\/p>\n

Generalmente questo accade quando si installa un nuovo plugin. Quando \u00e8 un plugin a causare problemi al sito ci\u00f2 che si deve fare \u00e8<\/strong> disattivarli uno ad uno e controllare quando il sito ritorna normale cos\u00ec per capire qual \u00e8 il plugin che causa questo problema. Nel mio caso specifico non avevo installato nessun nuovo plugin ma ad aver causato il problema \u00e8 stato l\u2019aggiornamento di uno dei plugin che gi\u00e0 avevo installato da tempo. <\/span><\/p>\n

Purtroppo anche seguendo la procedura di rimuovere i plugin, ancora riscontravo problemi<\/strong>. La mattina seguente prima di andare a lavoro ho contattato nuovamente il servizio di hosting e ho richiesto un backup al 28 Gennaio, che era quello della settimana precedente. Sapevo che in questo modo avrei perso tutti i post e le modifiche fatte fino ad allora per\u00f2 sapevo anche che era sicuramenre un giorno in cui il mio blog funzionava e i plugin ancora non erano stati aggiornati.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ripristinato questo backup<\/strong> ho riseguito la procedura di disattivare i plugin e alla fine ho finalmente capito quale era stato il plugin che aveva scaturito il problema.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il mio blog era crashato a causa di W3 Total Cache, l\u2019ho cos\u00ec disattivato e cancellato e la mia homepage \u00e8 finalmente ritornata normale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purtroppo per\u00f2 il problema non era del tutto risolto perch\u00e9 la mia homepage era ritornata come era prima per\u00f2 i miei post erano ancora solo pagine bianche. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Ho deciso cos\u00ec di contattare il team di supporto del tema per cercare di capire come mai ci\u00f2 era accaduto, ho dato loro gli accessi a WP e gli ho lasciato fixare il tutto.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mercoled\u00ec finalmente il mio blog era di nuovo online funzionante come prima.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anche il support team del tema non aveva capito la causa del problema, ci\u00f2 che facero per risolvere il problema disintallare e reinstallare il tema e aggiornare la versione di WP all\u2019ultima disponibile e voil\u00e0 il blog \u00e8 tornato al suo regolare funzionamento. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cosa ho imparato da tutto ci\u00f2?<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. \u00c8 consigliabile aggiornare un plugin alla volta. Io avevo aggiornato 10 plugin contemporaneamente e probabilmente questo ha creato problemi al sito. \u00c8 meglio e pi\u00f9 sicuro aggiornare un plugin alla volta e controllare il sito ogni volta che si \u00e8 fatto l\u2019aggiornamento.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Se ci sono problemi al sito come questo che ho avuto io, niente panico. Potrebbe essere un plugin e quindi si risolve facilmente disabilitandoli uno alla volta fino al ripristino del sito.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. \u00c8 necessario fare un backup del blog almeno una volta alla settimana. In questo modo se dovessero esserci problemi con il sito si potr\u00e0 facilmente ripristinare un back senza perdere il lavoro svolto fino a quel punto. Non vorrei immaginare cosa sarebbe accaduto se non avessi avuto quel back del sito. Quindi <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. programmiamo un backup alla settimana e dormiamo sereni \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Spero che questa mia esperienza vi sia di aiuto per evitare il mio stesso problema e che sia come guida nel caso dovesse capitare anche voi un problema del genere.
