Last week Google made it usual conference, the Google I/O 2015, in which were presented their tech products to the world and it revealed some new interesting projects one of those is called Project Jacquard: the secret project of google that will place a chip in our jeans and clothes!
Project Jacquard will insert some sensors inside the clothes that are able to connect with our tech devices. An example ? Imagine to have a sensor  in your pocket or on your sleeve , with just a touch you will activate your personal assistant, start your favorite song or take a group photo!
This is all possible thanks to some conductive yarns covered with cotton or other tissues that connected with a chip, hidden in the labels or in the collar, will interact with each other creating an area of our garment able of picking up any movement.
Of course there are people that are not so happy about this because of the excessive intrusiveness of chip in human life, but in a early future this can hardly be avoided!
The project is in embryonic stage, even if Google confirmed a partnership with Levi’s to produce with these yarns the Strauss jeans .Of course we don’t know anything about the launch date, even if on the official web site of the project they say that are ready to test it in mass production!
What do you think about this ? Do you think it will be useful or it is to invasive?
