September is here, which in fashion means one thing: Fashion Month is about to begin.
September has always felt a little like the industry’s New Year. Editors return from summer, new campaigns start appearing everywhere, the September issues land, and, most importantly, designers begin presenting the collections that will define the next season.
In September 2026, the fashion calendar will take us once again from New York to London, Milan and finally Paris, where designers will unveil their Spring/Summer 2027 collections.
But this season feels slightly different.
After several fashion seasons dominated by major creative-director changes and highly anticipated debuts, the Spring/Summer 2027 calendar is more about returns, second collections and a smaller number of strategic debuts, there will still be plenty of fashion moments to watch closely.
So, whether you work in fashion, are studying to enter the industry, or simply love following runway season, here is your guide to the September 2026 Fashion Week calendar.
Editor’s note: this article was updated on August 31, 2026. Some official schedules are still described as preliminary or provisional by the organizing institutions and may be updated before Fashion Week begins.

New York Fashion Week September 2026
September 10–15, 2026
Fashion Month will officially begin in New York.
According to the preliminary schedule released by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), New York Fashion Week will run from Thursday, September 10 through Tuesday, September 15 and currently includes around 70 runway shows and designer presentations, in addition to digital collections and appointments.
Diane von Furstenberg will open NYFW
One of the biggest moments of the New York calendar will happen right at the beginning.
On September 10, Diane von Furstenberg will open the official schedule,
The day will also include Proenza Schouler, Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Siriano, Tory Burch and Public School New York, making September 10 one of the first major days to watch this Fashion Month.
The major names returning to New York
NYFW Spring/Summer 2027 brings together established American fashion houses with international and emerging designers.
Among the brands confirmed on the CFDA calendar are Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Kors Collection, Carolina Herrera, and Altuzarra.
The week will conclude on Tuesday, September 15 with Thom Browne.
This mix is one of the things that makes New York especially interesting for anyone studying the fashion industry: NYFW isn’t only about a handful of globally famous American brands. Looking beyond the biggest shows is one of the best ways to discover independent designers, emerging talent and fashion businesses that could become increasingly important over the next few seasons.

London Fashion Week September 2026
September 17–21, 2026
After New York, Fashion Month moves to London from Thursday, September 17 to Monday, September 21.
And London might have one of the most interesting calendars this season.
Alexander McQueen is returning to London
One of the biggest stories of London Fashion Week September 2026 is undoubtedly McQueen’s return to the London schedule.
Seán McGirr will present both the men’s and women’s Spring/Summer 2027 collections in what the British Fashion Council describes as his London debut for the house. The McQueen show is currently scheduled for Sunday, September 20 at 8 PM.
The current calendar ends on Monday, September 21 with Burberry at 7 PM.
If you’re trying to break into fashion, London Fashion Week is always worth observing beyond the big names. Programs such as NEWGEN and Fashion East offer a practical lesson in how the industry discovers, supports and eventually builds the next generation of fashion designers.
Milan Fashion Week September 2026
September 22–28, 2026
Next stop: Milan.
Milano Fashion Week Women’s Collection Spring/Summer 2027 will take place from September 22 to September 28, 2026, according to Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. The provisional runway calendar includes 54 physical shows and six digital shows.
One important thing to know if you’re reading this before Fashion Month starts: the complete Milan calendar is not yet final.
Prada will open Milan Fashion Week
There is already one major change to the usual Milan rhythm.
Prada will open the runway calendar on Tuesday, September 22 at 2 PM, moving away from the Thursday slot fashion insiders have traditionally associated with the house.
The Milan Fashion Week shows to watch
Wednesday, September 23 brings several major Italian fashion names, including Jil Sander, Antonio Marras, Fendi, Missoni, MM6 Maison Margiela and Etro.
Fendi is scheduled for 2 PM, with Maria Grazia Chiuri presenting her second collection for the house.
Thursday, September 24 includes Max Mara, Marni, Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli and Emporio Armani.
Gucci and the Moschino debut
Friday, September 25 is another date to circle.
Gucci is scheduled to show at 2 PM, with Demna presenting his second ready-to-wear collection for the house.
Three hours later comes one of Milan’s biggest debuts.
At 5 PM, Moschino is scheduled to present the first collection by Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo.
Giorgio Armani will show on Sunday, September 27 at 11 AM, while Milan’s six digital shows will follow on Monday, September 28.
One notable absence from the calendar is Versace. Pieter Mulier’s first collection for the house is expected in February 2027, meaning we won’t see his Versace debut this September.
The absence is a reminder that Fashion Week calendars can tell us just as much through who isn’t showing as through who is. Changes in creative direction, brand strategy and collection timing frequently affect where — and when — a fashion house chooses to present.
Paris Fashion Week September 2026
September 28–October 6, 2026
Finally, Fashion Month will end in Paris.
The Paris Fashion Week Women’s Spring/Summer 2027 calendar runs from September 28 through October 6, overlapping with Milan on September 28.
Dior, Maison Margiela and Saint Laurent on September 29
The first major Paris day arrives on Tuesday, September 29.
Dior will show at 2:30 PM, followed by Maison Margiela at 5:30 PM and Saint Laurent at 9 PM.
The major Paris Fashion Week shows
The rest of the calendar continues with some of the biggest names in global fashion.
On October 1, Chloé, Balenciaga, Rick Owens, Schiaparelli and Isabel Marant are scheduled to present.
October 2 includes Loewe, Givenchy and Victoria Beckham.
October 3 brings Celine, Vivienne Westwood, Hermès and Comme des Garçons, among others.
Then on October 4, the calendar includes Miu Miu, Valentino, Mugler and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Chanel and Louis Vuitton will dominate the final days
Fashion Month will reach its final stretch with two of the industry’s biggest houses.
Chanel is scheduled to show on Monday, October 5 at 8 PM, with the film of the show expected to be released from 9 PM Paris time.
Finally, Louis Vuitton is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 at 6:30 PM, bringing Paris Fashion Week, and effectively the Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Month, to a close.
One name you won’t find on the Paris calendar this season is Rabanne. Olivier Rousteing, who was appointed creative director of the house in July, is expected to make his debut during Paris Fashion Week in March 2027 instead. McQueen is also absent from Paris this season as the house returns to London.
What Makes the Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Month Interesting?
If the previous fashion seasons were about the creative-director musical chairs taking place across the industry, September 2026 feels more like the next chapter.
We are starting to see what happens after those announcements.
Several designers are now approaching their second collections at major houses, giving us a better opportunity to understand the direction they want to build.
And this is something worth remembering when following Fashion Week: don’t look at a show as an isolated collection.
Look at what came before it.
Who was appointed? Who left? Was the previous collection commercially successful? Is the brand changing its positioning? Which celebrities are attending? Who is styling the show? Which photographers are backstage? What kind of content is the brand publishing before and after the runway?
That’s when following Fashion Week becomes much more useful than simply scrolling through runway looks.
Why You Should Follow Fashion Week If You Want To Work In Fashion
You don’t need a Fashion Week invitation to learn from Fashion Month.
In fact, if you’re currently trying to break into the fashion industry, September is one of the best moments of the year to improve your fashion knowledge.
Follow the official calendars. Watch the livestreams. Read the reviews after every important show. Look at the collections on Vogue Runway. Pay attention to credits. Notice how brands communicate their shows across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, press releases and websites.
If you want to work in fashion PR, study how each show is communicated.
If you’re interested in fashion journalism, compare the reviews and identify the stories editors are focusing on.
If you want to work in buying or merchandising, start thinking about which pieces might actually reach stores and which collections seem commercially strong.
If you’re interested in social media or marketing, compare how different houses turn a ten-minute runway show into days, sometimes weeks, of content.
And if you’re still figuring out which fashion career might be right for you, Fashion Month gives you something incredibly valuable: a chance to observe hundreds of different jobs working together at the same time.
Because behind every 15-minute fashion show there are designers, stylists, PR teams, casting directors, producers, photographers, editors, buyers, merchandisers, social media managers and many other professionals making it happen.
Where To Find The Official September 2026 Fashion Week Calendars
Always check the official organizations before Fashion Week begins because show times and schedules can change.
For New York Fashion Week, refer to the Council of Fashion Designers of America and CFDA Fashion Calendar.
For London Fashion Week, check the British Fashion Council and the official London Fashion Week website.
For Milan Fashion Week, follow Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.
For Paris Fashion Week, use the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s official calendar.
We’ll continue watching the schedules as Fashion Month gets closer because if September teaches us anything, it’s that in fashion, calendars are never truly quiet until the first model steps onto the runway.
