Do not get discouraged that you are not suited to the fashion industry and that your experiences or studies are not useful for getting a job in fashion.

2. Are your applying for the jobs made for you?
I know it might seem obvious, but many people do not receive any calls from the company simply because their profile is not suitable for the position. If you are applying for jobs that require 3 years of experience and you have just graduated, certainly just received, your CV will be discarded, no matter which prestigious university you come from.
Read the job description and the requirements carefully before applying. You do not need to meet all the requirements to apply for a job, but pay attention to the fundamental ones. First of all the number of years and previous experiences: if they request that you have worked for e-commerce for one year and you don’t, it is best to avoid applying for this job in order not to waste time and energy and above all your motivation when you do not receive feedback.

3. Are you doing this during and after the job interview?
The job interview is a delicate step because it is your first in-person approach. Many jobs are assigned because of the empathy between the candidate and the hiring manager or the future boss. Be always kind and professional and smile. No one wants to work with a person who is arrogant or too hesitant. Be firm but friendly.
If you haven’t received a feedback after a job interview yet, you have made one or more of these mistakes:
- You did not send the thank you email immediately after the interview
- You did not follow up after 7-10 days to remind the company about of your interest in the position and to add things you did not say during the interview or to explain things that came out wrong
