The Fashion Team are looking for a Project Manager to become a part of this energetic and diverse team.  The purpose of this role is to manage the production of the Fashion Team projects and content.  Reporting to the Lead Operations and Resource Manager, the role sits within the marketing department, specifically within the Fashion Team and is supported by a Junior Fashion Team Coordinator. Ability to also work alongside strategy & communications, online editorial, commercial & press and win the respect of wider retail, merchandising teams is crucial.

Ideally you will have worked as a Project Manager in a creative environment and have experience in managing projects of various sizes and with quick turnaround times.

A keen interest in fashion is essential for this role. Although this is neither a technical nor creative role, you will have an understanding of the creative processes and challenges involved, and be excited by the creative industry.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of the Fashion Teams content on our various platforms. In-house magazine, online homepage features and call to actions (CTA’s), social, ASOM, Fashion and Beauty Feed, mobile apps, video, commercial, press as well marketing and PR activities across WW & MW.
  • Manage and oversee all fashion team briefs across WW & MW and ensure content is delivered within agreed deadlines.
  • Working alongside Executive Fashion Editor and Head of Fashion to co-ordinate and manage logistics of all fashion team projects liaising with UK and International marketing, retail, creative and editorial teams.
  • Help oversee the implementation and smooth running of our bi-monthly online content process.  Breakdown marketing campaign briefs to calculate the required Fashion Team resource needed to fulfil the briefs, alongside monitoring the Fashion Team output.  Work closely with marketing project managers to keep on top of shot counts, monitor availability of product and ensure it is always shoppable for the best customer experience.   
  • Manage and develop a direct report (Junior Fashion Team Coordinator)
  • Create new best practice processes and strive to constantly improve planning and procedures.  Making recommendations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness is maintained at the highest level.
  • Alongside Fashion Editors liaise with International Editors on campaigns and ad-hoc briefs – the Project Manager plays a crucial role in understanding the required fashion resource and necessary time lines.
  • Always ensure effective use of fashion team resource.
  • Daily management of fashion schedule ensuring everyone is up to date and aware of all activities and deadlines.
  • Using our internal tool Wrike to manage and share project information
  • Working closely with the retail team to ensure we always have the best product for each brief – being the go to between Retail and BX
  • Working with the CRM team to ensure our best assets and fashion messages are communicated through our emails
  • Working alongside the marketing manager to implement the new Studio process (eComm plus)
  • Project managing the monthly Newness shoot from kick off to go live ensure quality assets are delivered to deadline and meeting the brief.

We would love to meet somebody with..

  • Previous experience working in house or at an agency
  • If there are no set processes – experience demonstrating how candidate has implemented new processes to support management of their projects
  • Teamwork – ASOS is full of talented people, experts in their field. An important part of your job, especially at the beginning, will be building relationships between retail and marketing teams. You will entail working alongside and building relationships with many different people.
  • Enjoying fast paced rhythm, constant change and being comfortable dealing with ambiguity – crucial in a high-growth environment that continuously redefines itself.
  • Previous experience working in a medium to large online business, preferably an online fashion retailer but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of web, digital and creative with excellent time management skills and an ability to drive a project forward to ensure it meets its deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management including senior members of staff
  • Outstanding admin and organisational skills
  • Experience managing a range of production dependencies across a wide range of platforms
  • Understanding of online retail (desirable but not essential)
  • Keen interest in fashion industry and creative industries.
  • Excellent time management and an ability to drive a project forward to ensure it meets deadlines.
  • Experience managing a range of production dependencies across a wide range of platforms e.g. Print, online (HP and CTA’s), email, video, social, mobile apps and commercial etc.
  • Experience managing and communicating effectively within a wide team with varying skill sets, to execute a project.
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • PC & Mac literate (understanding of Photoshop desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Dynamic, innovative and lateral thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Calm, organised and a clear thinker.
