Each Thursday we share with you a round up of the best fashion news of the week you need to know. Whether you want to work at a fashion company, or launching your own brand, is important to stay updated on the industry.

Instagram introduced the shoppable and check-out features last week and now is ready to release a variety of tools designed to bring greater transparency, accountability and scope to influencer marketing. The updates will include the ability for brands to boost sponsored posts, meaning they can pay to promote and target sponsored influencer posts so that people who don’t follow that influencer still might see the content. Previously, sponsored posts were only seen by the influencer’s following and brands would pay influencers to “boost” posts themselves. Instagram is also expanding its “paid partnership” tag, so anyone will be able to apply for access to the tool. Since brands will be able to pay to “amplify” influencer-made content to specific demographics, this frees them up to work with a broader range of creators who appeal to more diverse audiences.
